Unpopular opinion: stop booking 60 min extractions on clients who just started retinol a week ago
Had a girl come in Tuesday who was peeling so bad from her tret that I couldn't even get a full pass with the steamer before her whole chin started weeping, and I had to stop the service 20 minutes in and give her a refund, so now I make everyone tell me their full routine before I touch the booking button and I'm wondering how the rest of you screen for this without sounding like you're interrogating them?

The "full pass with the steamer" is exactly where people mess up, because a good esthetician should already be adjusting pressure and products for a sensitized barrier instead of refunding. Asking about their routine once is normal, but turning it into a screening test for every booking feels like we're punishing clients for trusting us.
