Burned $150 on 'premium' linen for a sample dress that just fell apart in the wash

Honestly I used to believe the price tag meant it was built to last. Tbh getting burned like that is the worst feeling, like you paid for trust and got nothing. It completely changed how I look at "premium" labels now. If it can't survive a basic wash, the fabric is just expensive, not good. Makes me wonder what they're actually charging for.

Yeah, it's like @green.laura paid for a whole shirt and just got the fancy tag. You spend all that money and the thing falls apart in the laundry, so you're left holding a receipt and some lint. Makes you wonder if the "premium" part is just for the shopping bag it comes in. Honestly feels like a scam dressed up in nice packaging. They're charging for the name and the idea of quality, not the actual thing you get to wear.

Paid for trust and got nothing" hits way too close to home. I've got a drawer full of fancy tags from clothes that didn't make it. At this point, I'm just collecting overpriced souvenirs from bad buys.
