Update: Our studio went fully remote and now all the designs look the same

My boss pushed for remote work to save on rent downtown. It feels like we're just copying trends online instead of coming up with original stuff in the studio. How do you keep your design ideas from getting stale when your team isn't together?

Read an article about remote teams doing "mood board Monday" where everyone shares random images (not just design inspo, like a weird street sign or nature photo). It forces everyone to pull ideas from outside the same online trends, which helps a bit. My old studio tried it and it broke up the monotony.

Zoom-brainstorms" sound about as creative as my grocery lists, and I'm with @evan_grant70 on the whole muting thing (my cat's meows are not good feedback).
