Warning: Don't waste $300 on that trendy digital fabric printer for small batches
I bought one of those portable sublimation printers thinking I could save money printing my own test fabrics. Spent $300 on the printer plus another $150 on special inks and paper. After 6 tries the colors still came out wrong and the fabric felt stiff. The printer jammed on the 7th print and the company wanted $100 just to look at it. I could have used a local print shop for $20 a yard and been way ahead. Has anyone else had bad luck with these desktop fabric printers?

Tbh I bought one too and the colors came out so bad I just threw the whole thing in the trash.

Did you try the recommended heat settings from the manufacturer? I made that mistake myself, spent hours messing with pressure and time, and the colors still washed out after two loads. Feels like a real shame they charge that much just to look at it, especially when the thing is barely used.

Man I did the exact same thing with my Cricut last year, spent three full weekends trying different temps and even bought a whole new pack of the expensive transfer sheets. @ryan_hart38 I get why you tossed yours because after my third attempt the vinyl still peeled off like cheap stickers in the wash. I followed every YouTube tutorial and forum post I could find and nothing worked right. For something that cost me over $300 it felt like I was just burning money watching those colors fade after two washes. Honestly I think they design these things to fail so you keep buying their overpriced accessories.
