Got called out for my corner post bracing on a job in Phoenix

The inspector said my 2x4 kickers were 'barely holding a thought' and to use 4x4s with a proper diagonal. Switched on the next job and the difference in stability was huge, especially in that sandy soil. Anyone have a favorite method for corners on loose ground?

I've had good luck with concrete collars too, like johnson.eva said, but I also pack gravel around the base before pouring.

What about using a concrete collar? Poured a quick one around the posts on a sandy lot last year and they didn't budge an inch.

Ever try a concrete collar with a gravel base like johnson.eva mentioned? That combo locks the post in place way better than just wood bracing, especially in sand. The extra weight and drainage make a solid difference.
