PSA: That time a gust caught an 8-foot panel on a hilltop job in Boulder
Setting posts on a slope off Flagstaff Road in Boulder, a wind gust took an 8-foot cedar panel off the saw horses and it cartwheeled down into a ravine right as we had a post set. We spent 90 minutes dragging it back up with a rope through the brush, and it came back with a cracked rail so we cut it down for a gate infill instead. What do you do with panels on windy ridge jobs, stake them flat or just wait for a calm morning?
