A designer at a Denver coffee shop told me to quote $400 for my first logo, and I almost choked
I met a freelance designer named Priya at a coffee shop on South Broadway in Denver three weeks ago, and she asked what I was charging for my first logo gig. When I said $150, she put her cup down and said that number tells the client my time is not worth much. She said to quote $400 and hold firm, because the first price sets the tone for the whole job. Has anyone else gotten pushback when they raised their price way above what felt safe?
