Charged $200 for my first design job, then the client asked for 14 revisions | First Gig Pricing - Freelance Forum - The Community for Independent Professionals
Fourteen revisions on a $200 job works out to about fourteen bucks a round, which is pretty much what I made bagging groceries as a teenager. When I first started out I once did a whole logo for a case of beer, so trust me, you are not alone in the bad deal department. The hard part is that once you say yes to the low price, the client thinks every little tweak is free, because in their head they already paid for it. You have to draw a line somewhere, like three rounds included and anything past that costs extra, and you have to say it before the work starts, not after. Chalk this one up as tuition and start charging what you are worth next time.
