Priced my first illustration gig at $50 and learned the hard way
I quoted a small business owner $50 for a logo design because I was scared to ask for more. Turns out they paid the next guy $300 for the same thing a week later. How do you get past the fear of setting a price that actually covers your time?

And it's the same thing with anything you sell, even at garage sales people will pay more if you just act like your stuff has value.

My buddy Marcus started doing woodworking on the side and sold his first coffee table for $40. He spent like 12 hours on it and used nice walnut wood. A few months later he saw a similar table at a craft fair for $250 and almost fell over. I think that fear comes from not trusting your own work yet. You gotta remind yourself that the person hiring you already thinks you're worth more than you do. They're not gonna laugh and walk away if you say $200 instead of $50.
