Heard a flooring inspector say 80% of vinyl plank failures he sees are from bad subfloor prep, not the product itself.

Hot take: Makes total sense. Ugh, that tracks so hard. People want to skip right to the pretty part and don't wanna pay for or do the boring prep work. A perfect floor on a wavy, dirty base is gonna fail every time. It's like building a house on sand, lol. They blame the planks when the real problem was underneath them the whole time.

Ever tried to skip the prep work and had it bite you later? @kelly.mia, I'm guilty of that with a paint job once, and let's just say the wall still has feelings about it.
