Rant: Poured $400 into special floral foam shapes that just fell apart

Idk why I thought those pre-made geometric foam shapes would save me time on a wedding order last month. I spent like $400 on a bunch of cones and spheres from a specialty supplier online thinking they'd hold up better than carving them myself. Got to the venue and two of the larger spheres just crumbled when I tried to insert roses into them. Ended up scrambling at 6am with regular bricks and a knife to rebuild the centerpieces. Maybe it's just me but I think sticking to standard foam blocks and shaping them yourself is way more reliable. Has anyone else had bad luck with those pre-cut novelty shapes?

Man maybe you got a bad batch, could be they froze during shipping or something.
