Switched to foam wraps for wedding bouquets last weekend
Always used ribbon wrap for stems, thought foam would look cheap. But a bride in Denver wanted a modern boho look and foam wraps actually held up better in the heat. Has anyone else had better luck with foam on outdoor summer gigs?

Yeah, foam in heat just melts into a sticky mess.

Did you notice any issues with the foam getting too soft or sticky in the humidity? I'm in Texas and worried about that ruining the texture during a long ceremony. Really curious how it held up over a full day.

Gotta say @nancyramirez, my cousin used that foam for her whole wedding day in Houston and it honestly turned into a MESS by the reception. She was outside for photos for maybe 20 minutes and the whole thing went soft and started sliding around. I felt so bad for her because the ceremony itself was pretty long and by the end she looked like she had been sweating through it, even though it wasn't that hot. She ended up having to use a ton of hairspray just to keep it from drooping, but it still felt sticky to the touch. Definitely not a good look for a full day event in this humid climate.

My girlfriend actually had pretty good luck with a mousse that had a lot of hold, but she also used a lightweight gel underneath it. We live in Florida so I know all about the humidity struggle. She did a quick test run a couple weeks before and found that layering products made a huge difference versus just using foam alone. The key for her was keeping the hairspray in her bag for touch ups before the reception.
