Our old core shooter in the Toledo plant just started making duck sounds

Yesterday afternoon, the air release valve on the machine started this high-pitched squeal that sounded EXACTLY like a mallard. We tried tightening the fittings and checking the lines, but it just kept quacking every cycle for about two hours. Has anyone else had a piece of equipment fail in a way that was just plain ridiculous?

Man, my old minivan used to honk like a goose when you turned left. At least your machine is making happy duck sounds.

Geese can be pretty aggressive, you know? That honking sound is more of a warning. Ducks tend to quack in a friendlier way, like they're just chatting. Your old van was probably trying to tell you something was loose up front. A happy duck noise is definitely the better car sound to have.

Oh man, that's a perfect way to describe car noises. My last car didn't honk or quack, it just groaned like a tired old man. I guess I should have listened to its complaints sooner.

Oh man, this is just life trying to teach us something through sound effects. I swear every broken thing in my house has its own voice now. The fridge hums when it's mad, the dryer beeps like a lost video game, and don't even get me started on the toilet. It's like the universe is slowly turning my entire home into a barnyard orchestra. At least with a quacking machine you can joke about it before you call maintenance.
