Got a contract note from a client that said 'your scare quotes are scaring me'
They circled every time I put 'final' in quotes around deliverables and now I just use a stamp that says DRAFT in big red letters. Has anyone else gotten weirdly specific formatting feedback that actually helped?

your scare quotes are scaring me" is honestly iconic client feedback lol. but tbh it kinda makes sense - putting 'final' in quotes just screams "i dont trust this document either" and then nobody knows what to do with it. the DRAFT stamp is probably way more honest for everyone involved.

People are way too stressed about quotation marks. It's just a document, not a legal binding.
