Scammed by a freelance contract template off Etsy last month
Grabbed a $15 contract template from Etsy for my dog grooming side work, thought it looked solid. Turned out it was missing a clause about late payments so I got stuck waiting 3 months for a $600 check. Anyone else had a cheap template backfire on them like this?

$15 sounds like you got exactly what you paid for, maybe try a real lawyer next time.

$15 for a lawyer? Are we talking about the same kind of lawyer that went to law school for years? That sounds like the price of a pizza, not legal advice you can actually use in court. I'd be worried they're just pulling forms off the internet and charging you for the ink.
