Showerthought: I added a 'no llamas' clause to a contract after a weird request
A potential hire in Boise asked if they could pay me in alpaca wool, so I wrote a line saying payment must be in US dollars. It actually worked and we signed the deal. Has anyone else had to get that specific about payment methods?

Have you noticed how many deals need weirdly specific rules now?

Seriously? It just feels like people are covering their bases. Most of the time it's just common sense stuff written down. I've never seen a deal fall apart because someone forgot to write "payment by check" in an email. It seems like overkill for simple agreements.
