A client told me my contracts read like a robot wrote them. Ouch.
They said I used too much legal jargon nobody understands. I stripped everything down to plain English and now clients actually read the terms before signing. Has anyone else had to totally rework their contract language?

Honestly my contracts are just bullet points now. Way LESS scary.

Did you try reading it out loud to someone before sending? That was my trick. I had a client say my emails sounded like they were written by a help desk bot, so I started reading everything out loud to my coworker. If she looked confused, I rewrote it. Now I write like I'm talking to a friend over coffee, not filling out a legal form. It's crazy how much simpler language makes people actually pay attention.
