Can we talk about charging for discovery calls?

I used to do them free for an hour, but after a prospect in Phoenix grilled me for 45 minutes then ghosted, I now do a paid 30 minute consult for $75. Anyone else set a hard line here?

Feel your pain on that Phoenix call, that's brutal. Charging a small fee is a great filter, it shows they're serious. I switched to a $50 deposit myself and it completely changed the quality of my conversations.

Totally get it. I started charging a small fee too and it weeds out the time wasters right away. My schedule got way better after that.
