I finally understood the value of a solid referral after a client in Tampa told me, 'My sister's buying a house next year, and I already gave her your number.'

That one sentence, said over a handshake after we closed on his condo last fall, made all the slow months of building my own thing feel worth it.

Derek called that a low bar? I mean, that Tampa client basically gave you a future deal for free, just handed it over. I had a client do that for me once and it turned into three sales from their family. That's not a low bar, that's the whole game right there.

Maybe Derek's never felt that kind of trust from a client.

Sounds like a pretty low bar for success.

Low bar" makes it sound like trust is some small thing. It's actually pretty huge when someone lets you into their life like that.
