Quit online leads and networked locally, quality went up but speed down. Tips for finding a balance?

I heard Michael Port on a podcast suggest blocking two afternoons for digital outreach. That fixed schedule prevents it from bleeding into your high-focus local work. Honestly it seems like the simplest way to get that balance between speed and quality.

Yeah that quality over speed trade-off is real. My buddy had the same issue after going all local. He started setting aside one morning a week just for online lead follow-up to keep the pipeline moving without it taking over. It gave him enough volume to smooth out the slow periods without wrecking the better local work.

What really makes that time blocking work is the MENTAL switch. When you know Thursday morning is ONLY for digital stuff, you stop stressing about it the rest of the week. Your brain can fully focus on the local clients without that background noise. It turns a messy, all day drip of tasks into a single batch you can actually get into the zone for. That focus is a total game changer for doing good work fast.
