Vent: Paid $500 for a listing photo package that was all phone shots
Hired a guy in Phoenix who promised pro real estate photos for my flip... ended up getting 12 blurry iPhone pictures that looked like they were taken through a dirty lens. I wasted 3 days waiting and lost the listing because the seller backed out after seeing the garbage photos. The photographer swore he had 10 years experience but his portfolio was fake, I checked after. Anyone else get burned by a freelancer who looked legit on paper?

My cousin paid a guy $300 who showed up with a drone that didn't even have a camera on it.

That's brutal man. I feel for your cousin @kai839, $300 is a lot to drop on a drone that can't even take a picture. These scammers are getting slick with the whole "professional inspection" act. I saw a guy in my neighborhood pull up in a branded van with a ladder and everything, took a quick look at some gutters, then handed the homeowner an invoice for $500. No inspection done at all, just a clipboard act. Hope your cousin gets their money back or at least puts the word out to warn others.
