Update: That $85 standing desk converter I swore I'd never buy

I was dead set against those standing desk converters for two years. Thought they were just another gadget to take up space. Then I had a client project that had me sitting for 8 hours straight editing video, and my back was screaming for three days after. Finally caved and bought a VIVO converter off Amazon for $85, and honestly it's saved me. Has anyone else had a piece of gear they resisted that ended up being worth every penny?

My coworker spent $300 on one and it broke within a month, so $85 sounds like a steal.

Yeah that's exactly how it went for me too. @the_cameron borrowed one from a friend first just like you did. I sat on it for months thinking it was a gimmick but then I finally just bought one and it fixed my back issues in a week. I still sit most of the day but I switch it up now when I feel stiff. It's crazy how something that simple can make that big of a difference.

Man, I get this so much. I felt the exact same way about those converters. I was like, "That's just a tiny desk on top of my desk? What a ripoff." But then I borrowed one from a friend for a week and my lower back pain just disappeared. Now I have one and I actually look forward to standing during meetings. It's a game changer for real.
