Man, I always thought that was overkill. But I tried it last year and it was a total game changer, no more nasty surprise.

Yeah, it's one of those things you just have to try for yourself. I was the same way, thought it was extra work for nothing. But after a couple bad winters, I gave in. The difference is real, especially on those older side streets that never get plowed right. It's cheap insurance.
