Pro tip: I tracked every single expense for a month versus just guessing... the difference was crazy
I always just ballparked my business costs, thinking it was close enough. Last month I used a simple spreadsheet and logged every coffee, subscription, and mileage trip. Turns out I was off by almost $400... I was spending way more on software I barely used. Has anyone else had a wake-up call like that from actually tracking the numbers?

Yeah, the "archeological dig" feeling is real. I forced myself to do a quarterly subscription audit and it cut out a ton of dead weight.

Cancel unused subscriptions first.

Solid advice from @kim_mason55, but finding those subscriptions feels like an archeological dig. My bank statement is a mystery novel where I'm the victim. What's the weirdest subscription you've found?

That "mystery novel" line is too real. My buddy found a $12 monthly charge for a meditation app he downloaded once in 2019 and forgot instantly. He was paying for inner peace he never even tried to find.
