Question about freelance health insurance after talking to a friend

My friend with a full-time job was telling me about her health plan. It hit me that I've been paying a lot more out of pocket. How do you guys deal with health costs without employer help?

Actually used to believe that too. But seeing how it plays out in real life changed my mind, you know? Makes you question what we're really paying for.

Student debt in this country tops $1.7 trillion now. We call that freedom, but it just means young people start life buried. That's a bad price for a basic education.
