Vent: Everyone talks about cost of living but nobody mentions the internet quality drop
I moved to a smaller town in Colorado last year thinking I'd save big on rent. And yeah, my rent dropped from $1,400 to $900 which felt like a win. But the internet here is a joke compared to what I had in Austin. I used to get 500 Mbps steady for $70 a month. Now I'm paying $85 for 50 Mbps on a good day and it cuts out during storms. I keep seeing people in this community focus only on rent prices or tax rates when picking a new spot. Nobody seems to ask about the actual internet infrastructure until they're stuck on a call with a client that keeps freezing. Did anyone else run into this problem after relocating? What do you do about it?

$85 for FIFTY Mbps? That is genuinely criminal.

@Sandra_moore30 I almost spit out my coffee reading that. That's highway robbery for speeds from 2015.
