I was sure those smart lightbulbs were just a silly fad

My wife got a four-pack for the living room a year ago, and I rolled my eyes. Now I can't imagine not having the porch lights turn on automatically at sunset. What's a gadget you were totally wrong about?

Totally get that feeling about the smart bulbs. I thought robot vacuums were the dumbest thing ever until my sister left hers running at my place. Waking up to clean floors without lifting a finger changed my mind fast. Now I run it every other day just to keep the dust down. What took you so long to come around on your game changer?

What about smart plugs for lamps? I thought they were pointless until I got one for a floor lamp in the corner. Now it's on a schedule so I never have to fumble for the switch, and I can turn it off from bed. It's the cheap gadget that made the whole smart home thing click for me.

Yeah, smart home stuff sneaks up on you. @kevinallen is right about robot vacuums too, they're a game changer once you try one.
