My neighbor swore by that magnetic phone mount for his car

I always thought it was just a gimmick until I borrowed his for a trip to Phoenix. The thing held my phone solid even on bumpy roads, and now I get the hype. What's a gadget you were totally wrong about at first?

Slowly brightening in the morning sounds nice in theory, but my brain just does not work that way. I tried it and ended up sleeping right through the whole "sunrise" cycle. Give me a loud, instant alarm any day, it's the only thing that actually gets me up. That gentle wake-up stuff is a total miss for me.

Honestly @the_ben, the best part is setting them to slowly brighten in the morning. It feels way less awful than a blaring alarm. I mean, maybe it's just me but that one feature made the whole thing worth it.
