My bathroom mirror decided to take a trip during install
I was putting up a new heavy bathroom mirror as part of a redo. Had it all measured and marked, ready to secure it to the wall. As I lifted it, my grip slipped a little on the smooth edge. The mirror tilted and caught the light just right, blinding me for a second. I stumbled back, and the mirror slid right out of my hands. It didn't fall, it just glided across the wet bathroom floor like it was on ice. Went straight out the door, down the hall, and leaned against the couch in the living room. My kid looked up from his game and said 'cool mirror, dad'. Took me ten minutes to carefully carry it back without dropping it.

No way it slid all the way to the living room without breaking. That's just crazy.

My aunt's mirror did that once, looked like a ghost was redecorating. Oscar's never seen a good floor slide, that's his problem lol.

Depends on the floor. Hardwood with a flat bottom, it can glide. Hit the right angle and it just keeps going. Seen it happen with a dinner plate once.

Seriously, @oscar_morgan22, I see it differently because floors can be super slippery when wet. If the mirror hit just right, it could glide on the water like a skate on ice. I had a similar thing happen with a picture frame that slid down my hallway without a scratch. It's all about smooth surfaces and keeping the weight even.
