Rant: I quit pulling from design blogs and found my own voice
I was stuck copying layouts from popular design sites. It made all my projects feel bland and safe. So I cut that out and started sketching from things around my town. Like, my last poster took colors from peeling paint on an old diner sign. Now my work gets noticed because it looks different. Stepping away from online feeds pushed me to think for myself. Give it a shot if you're tired of samey designs.

I used to think real inspiration came from blogs, but peeling paint changes that.

Peeling paint is cool and all, but it's just old walls. Not sure it needs to be that deep.

See, blogs give you pro tips and trends. But peeling paint offers raw inspiration with history blogs don't capture. So use both. I saw a mural based on cracked concrete. Looked stunning.
