The time a broker told me to stop paying for urgent care out of pocket

I was dumb, paying $200 each time I got a sinus infection until a broker pointed out a bronze HDHP with an HSA would cover preventive stuff and save me money over the year. Has anyone else found a cheap plan that actually covers walk-in clinics?

Laughing at myself for doing the same thing until I finally realized my "cheap" copays were actually bleeding me dry. Picked up a silver HMO through the marketplace that covers walk-in visits for a flat $35 and actually pays for my allergy shots now. Yeah the deductible is higher but my wallet isn't crying every time I sniffle anymore.

And that flat fee is honestly the game changer right? My silver plan has a $20 copay for my asthma checkups and I actually go now instead of putting it off until I'm wheezing through a straw.
