A coworker at the Mill Street shared office gave me a single tip that fixed my neck pain

I was complaining about soreness after long days at my standing desk, and a guy named Dave who runs a 3D printing business told me to raise my monitor by just 4 inches using a stack of books. He said 'your eyes should hit the top third of the screen, not the middle.' I tried it with three old textbooks and my neck pain dropped by about 60% in a week. Has anyone else had a random stranger in a shared space solve something you were overthinking?

I don't know man, stacking books sounds like a temporary fix not a real solution.

Wait... people actually lock their knees standing at a desk without knowing it? That's wild to me, I never would have thought about that.

That Dave guy is a hero honestly, someone giving you one small tweak that changes everything. I had a similar thing with my back pain - a lady at my gym told me to stop locking my knees when I stand at my desk. Turns out I was doing it for years without even realizing, and just softening my knees took my lower back tension down by a ton. The standing desk setup is way more finicky than people think, it's wild how a tiny shift in monitor height or posture can wreck or save your whole day. I bet Dave has fixed dozens of people's necks just by walking by their desks and noticing something.
