My neighbor Dave walked into my home office and laughed for 5 straight minutes
So I spent a whole weekend building this fancy L-shaped desk setup with three monitors, cable raceways, and one of those RGB light strips behind the monitors. I was pretty proud of it, thought it looked like something out of a YouTube video. Then my neighbor Dave comes over to borrow a drill, walks into my office, and just starts cracking up. He points at my cable management and says, "dude, you spent 12 hours hiding wires that nobody will ever see?" I told him it was about the aesthetic, and he just laughed harder. Then he showed me his "office" which is literally a folding table in his basement with one laptop and a pile of dirty laundry next to it. He makes more money than me too, which is the real punchline. Has anyone else had a friend or neighbor roast their elaborate setup? What did they say?
