My standing desk converter just gave up on me mid-meeting

I was about 6 weeks into using this $200 Vivo converter and the gas spring just failed while I was on a video call. Has anyone else had one of these things die unexpectedly, or did I just get a lemon?

Nah, 6 weeks is plenty of time for stuff to fall apart. You'd be surprised how fast things can go south with bad planning or worse luck. Done a few projects myself and watched them unravel in half that time. It's not about the timeline, it's about what's actually happening on the ground. People act like more time means better results but that's not always true when the foundation is shaky from day one.
