Doing push-ups on carpet messed up my wrists for days.

Putting my hands on a hard book got the angle right and the pain stopped.

Seriously, grab a scrap of plywood for a cheap, permanent fix that won't slide around!

Yeah the carpet push-up thing is no joke, it totally throws your wrist alignment off. Putting a book or board under your hands makes it a flat stable surface like the floor should be. Glad you figured it out before it got worse lol.

Tried doing pushups on my old apartment carpet once and it felt so weird and unstable. My left wrist kept sinking deeper than the right into the shaggy mess. Even my knees would dig in and throw my whole plank position off. Using something flat under your hands is such a simple but perfect fix. Really glad you sorted that out, wrist pain is the worst.
