Warning: Jump squats on my hardwood floor wrecked my ankle
I was in the middle of my routine yesterday, doing jump squats in the living room, when I came down weird on the bare floor. My ankle rolled out and I tumbled right into the side table, sending a plant crashing down. Now I've got a purple bruise the size of a peach and I can barely walk. The pain is bad enough, but I'm also mad because this sets me back weeks from my goals. My partner just shook their head and said I should've used a mat, which yeah, but I was being lazy. It's annoying how one small mistake can mess up everything when you're trying to get fit on your own. I guess I'll be doing upper body stuff from the couch for a while, which sucks. Honestly, it makes me want to just give up sometimes, but I know I shouldn't.
