Vent: My yoga mat slid on the hardwood floor mid-plank.

I was holding a plank on my yoga mat, but it wasn't stuck down on the smooth floor. My hands shot forward, and I felt a sharp pain in my wrist. I had to take a break from workouts for a few days. Now I make sure to use a rug or non-slip pad under the mat.

Seriously? That sounds like a major skill issue tbh. Mats slide sometimes but if you had proper form and engagement it wouldn't just shoot out like that. Maybe your plank was off to begin with and that's why you got hurt. Idk seems like blaming the gear instead of your own core strength.

Mats sliding can happen to anyone, even with good form lol. I've had mine shoot out on a slick floor before. Try putting a yoga towel or a non-slip mat under it for more grip. Also, make sure your hands and feet are placed firmly and you're not leaning too far forward. Sometimes the surface just sucks, and it's not all about core strength. Adjusting your setup can prevent injuries better than just trying to power through.

Brooke's right, it's totally a form thing.
