The week I filed 14 Articles of Organization in 3 days

Last month I had three different clients all decide they needed their LLCs set up by Friday, and I ended up working until 11pm two nights in a row just to get the paperwork right. One of them kept changing the company name on me three times, and another sent me a signature that was literally just a squiggle that didn't match their driver's license. Has anyone else had a week where everything just piled up at once like that?

That "changed the company name on me three times" part hits too close to home. Some people really don't get how much rework that causes when you've already got everything formatted. It's like they think we just hit ctrl+z on the whole filing.

Honestly what saved me was making a template for everything upfront. I have a folder on my desktop with blank Articles of Organization, operating agreements, and signature pages all set up in the same format. When a client wants a name change I can swap it out in under a minute instead of retyping everything. I also started sending them a "final name confirmation" email before I do any actual work. That one step cut out like half my redo headaches. Another thing that helped was keeping a running checklist in Google Docs so I don't miss steps when I'm rushing. Did you ever find a way to stop clients from sending those squiggly signatures?

Oh man, @kevin_williams nailed it. People really have no clue how much work goes into fixing that stuff once you've already started. It's exhausting.
