That time my old mentor swore by Trello and I ignored him for a year
My old mentor from a startup in Austin kept telling me to use Trello for project tracking, but I thought it looked too simple and stuck with Excel for managing client deadlines. After missing three delivery dates in a row, I finally switched over and realized he was totally right about the visibility thing. Has anyone else had a tool recommendation they ignored for way too long before it actually helped? lol

Honestly you just described my entire relationship with Notion. A buddy kept nagging me about it for like two years and I was like nah I'm good with Google Docs and a messy folder system. Finally tried it when I literally lost a whole project outline and had to redo it from scratch. What got me was how everything connects without you having to dig through five different tabs. It's funny how we think simple tools are for lazy people when really they're just way better at showing you the big picture without all the noise. Tbh I still kick myself for all the time I wasted being stubborn about it.

Did you ever try moving your Trello cards into "doing" status before you actually started the work? I did that for months and wondered why my board didn't magically fix my deadlines lol.
