Shoutout to the Spanish podcast that turned my commute around
I started listening to a Spanish podcast during my daily drive. Now I can catch bits of conversations when I hear people speaking it, which is a neat surprise. What podcasts have you used to learn something new?

Try a podcast that uses real conversations instead of lessons, @coleman.patricia. I used one called "News in Slow French" when I was trying to learn. Hearing how people actually talk, even if it's slowed down, helps you pick up phrases you'll really use.

Tried a language podcast once. My French is still at 'bonjour croissant' level, so maybe I need a different show. What's the one you're listening to?

A friend of mine stuck with "French for Beginners" for a solid six months. He somehow only picked up how to order a glass of red wine perfectly. Could ask for a Cotes du Rhone but got lost looking for the metro. Claims it was worth it for the confused looks from waiters.

My Spanish was just 'hola taco' until I tried 'Coffee Break Spanish'. The short lessons helped a lot.
