That one week in 2019 where everything went right
Had a stretch where three clients paid early and one even said 'take your time' on a deadline. Felt like the golden age of freelancing back then. Anybody else miss those pre-pandemic project vibes?

'golden age of freelancing' back then. My buddy had a client tell him to 'take his time' and then paid him double by accident. He kept it. Ended up buying a used lawnmower that broke the next week.

Karma getting him back through a broken lawnmower is kind of a stretch though. Accidental overpayment happens all the time, and keeping it is more about being a decent person than some cosmic joke. People act like freelancers back then were just swimming in free money and moral dilemmas. Its just a story about a guy who got lucky and then immediately wasted it on junk.
