My worst week ever convinced me to stop taking every job that comes in
Last March I had a week where I booked 3 projects back to back thinking I was killing it. Turned out one client in Austin kept changing specs every day, another paid late, and I ended up working 18 hour days just to keep up. That Monday I hit zero for my own sanity and realized I'd rather turn down work than burn out again. Anybody else have a week that taught you to set better boundaries?

That Austin client story gave me flashbacks lmao. Had a similar disaster last year with a local "dream project" that turned into a nightmare of constant revisions and late nights. Now I straight up tell people my schedule is full if they smell like they'll be high maintenance. Setting that boundary feels scary at first but honestly it's way better than the burnout hangover. You end up with better clients who actually respect your time too. That week taught me my sanity is worth more than any paycheck.

Yeah @garcia.wren I started saying no to the ones that give bad vibes early on and it saved my sleep schedule.
