Warning: That thick morning haze over the creek behind my house is perfect for practicing graduated washes.

My buddy painted that haze once, totally nailed the gradient.

Morning haze is good for washes? Come on, it's just fog. Making a big deal out of natural stuff like that is silly. You don't need perfect weather to practice painting. Sometimes people take hobbies too seriously.

What if the light really changes how your washes turn out? Morning haze isn't just fog, it's a kind of soft light that shows how colors mix on wet paper. I get not wanting to make a big deal, but seeing that natural effect helps you learn. It's like, you can practice anytime, but some conditions teach you more. So paying attention to weather isn't too serious, it's just using what's there. Makes the hobby deeper, you know?
