Hit exactly 1000 days of wfh and my coffee table finally gave out
Made it to 1000 straight days working from home and on that exact day my cheap IKEA coffee table I’ve been using as a desk just collapsed mid-Zoom call. Had to prop it up with a stack of old folders for the rest of the meeting. Anyone else hit a weird milestone that broke something?

Notices things just wait until they hit some invisible deadline and then fall apart.

Exactly this. Things can be running smooth for months then boom, one missed deadline and the whole thing crumbles. It's like there's always a ticking clock nobody talks about. The pressure builds up slow until something snaps. Ever notice how those invisible deadlines are usually the ones that matter most?

That ticking clock nobody talks about" - man, that hits hard. I was just reading this article about how most workplace stress actually comes from ambiguous expectations, not the work itself. Like when a manager says "get it done soon" but soon means different things to different people. That invisible deadline stuff is real, I swear half the time I don't even know I'm racing against something until I've already lost lol.
