My standing desk decided to lower itself mid-meeting

Last Tuesday I had a video call with a big client. I stood there talking about deliverables. Suddenly the desk started lowering. Real slow at first then whoosh. Couldn't stop it. I was hunched over my laptop chair level with the camera. Client just stared at me. Turns out my cat rolled across the remote. Has anyone else had pets sabotage their setup?

Cats hitting buttons is actually the owner's fault for not keeping the remote somewhere safe. Standing desks with wireless controls are a stupid design choice anyway. Remote should have been in a drawer or facedown so a cat stepping on it wouldn't do anything.

Read on another forum that cats are like tiny IT trolls who love hitting buttons.

I read somewhere that one person taped cardboard over their desk buttons to stop this exact thing from happening.
