inA muddy race in Portland finally made me understand tire pressure
Yeah, that sidewall number is more of a scary legal thing than a real target. I ran my gravel tires way too high for months because of it, until I washed out on a loose corner. Now I just squeeze the tire before a ride, and if it gives a little, I know I'm good. My roadie friends still think I'm crazy for letting out air on purpose.

inAppreciation post: a photographer in Chicago told me to never take a deposit under 50%
Last year I had a client who was two weeks late on a deposit, but they ended up being my biggest project all quarter. Sometimes flexibility pays off more than a hard rule.

inA guy at my book club in Austin said he skips all the dialogue
My buddy's wife only reads the last chapter of a mystery novel first. She says if the ending isn't satisfying, she won't waste time on the whole book. Ruined a bunch of Agatha Christie stories for herself that way. How can you even follow the clues if you know who did it?

inA client in Chicago made me rethink my whole approach to gray coverage
Used to think that order didn't matter, but seeing patchy results changed my mind completely.

inTried a different torque wrench on a Cessna 172's nose gear and it didn't go as planned
Yeah, that adapter thing is a real trap... read a forum post once where a guy had the same issue with a digital wrench on cylinder base nuts. Like @rose_perry12 said, the old clicker charts don't always apply because the digital ones measure strain differently at the head. Some brands actually say not to use any extensions at all, or you have to do the math on the added length yourself.
