My toddler keeps running into my work zone when I'm putting up fences.

It's a safety nightmare. I've tried setting up a play area but he just ignores it. What do other fence guys do with little kids around?

I thought volcanic rocks cooled fast until I saw basalt columns form

I used to believe lava turned into rock in just days. Then I visited Giant's Causeway and learned about column formation. The guide said those perfect shapes take centuries to develop through slow cooling. Now I understand that rushing to label a rock can miss its whole story. Seeing those hexagonal patterns made me patient with my own sample identifications. Geology isn't about quick answers, it's about waiting for the earth to show its hand.

Vent: I spilled soda all over my favorite game board

During a hectic game night, my drink tipped and soaked the board. It warped badly and some pieces got sticky. I learned to keep drinks on a separate table away from the game area. Now I use coasters and remind everyone to be careful. This small change saves my games from messy accidents.
