Vent: I spilled soda all over my favorite game board
During a hectic game night, my drink tipped and soaked the board. It warped badly and some pieces got sticky. I learned to keep drinks on a separate table away from the game area. Now I use coasters and remind everyone to be careful. This small change saves my games from messy accidents.

Man, that hits home. I lost a good keyboard to a full glass of iced tea last summer. Sticky keys for days until I just gave up and tossed it. Now my drink goes on a totally different side table, like way out of reach. It feels a little silly at first, but you stop thinking about it after a while. Just becomes the new normal to avoid that kind of mess.

Honestly I've started doing a quick check for spills right after everyone leaves, saves a bigger mess later.

yeah i do the same thing, brian. started wiping down the counter and doing a quick walk through the kitchen after my crew takes off for the day. catching a coffee spill before it gets sticky saves me like ten minutes of scrubbing later. its one of those small habits that adds up to a lot less hassle. good call on making it a routine.
