That neighbor seems like she's testing boundaries a bit. Handing over a manual at that hour means she expects you to drop everything and help her figure it out right then. A polite "can we talk tomorrow?" would have been fair game here.

Handing over a manual at that hour" is exactly the red flag. Who does that at night with a manual? Like, it's not a lost cat or a broken pipe, it's a piece of paper with diagrams. She could have just texted a photo if it was that urgent. I'd be blunt and say "I'm in bed" and shut the door.
