Rant: my sister said air fryer wings are 'cheating' and now I'm doubling down
We were at Sunday dinner and she watched me toss frozen wings in with no oil. She goes, "that's not real cooking, you're just using a tiny convection oven." I laughed it off but it stuck with me all week. I've made wings every Tuesday for 3 months now, about 12 batches. They come out crispier than my old deep fryer setup ever did, and I don't have to deal with a gallon of burnt oil. Last night I hit 400 degrees for 22 minutes, flipped at 11, and they were perfect. She still won't try one. Has anyone else had a family member trash talk the air fryer like it's some kind of shortcut? What did you cook to shut them up?
